Role Description: Barchart is seeking a motivated, customer-focused, team oriented individual to join the Barchart Commodities Account Management team as a Junior Account Manager. This position will focus on existing Ag client relationships, building product knowledge within the commodities suite of products, developing business communication and inside sales skills, gaining industry experience, and supporting the account management, sales, and marketing teams.
Applicant can strongly perform the following responsibilities
● Research and identify potential needs within existing clients in the agribusiness, food and beverage, ag media, and ag technology markets
● Manage and maintain up-to-date client information in Barchart’s CRM system
● Assist with and grow into leading client renewals and product reviews on a routine basis
● Assist the sales and account management teams in building presentations for upcoming meetings
● Accurately record meeting notes, identify follow up tasks, and handle client questions and concerns as supported by product and compliance teams
● Advocate for the client in future product enhancements and understand the needs of the client
● Assist in creating customer-centric marketing including thought leadership content, customer stories, webinars, product collateral, etc.
● Various process and internal tasks (data management projects, internal systems updates, event planning, etc.)
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Business Administration/Management/Marketing/Sales, Ag Business and Communications, or relevant degree pathways
● Demonstrates excellent English writing skills, comfortable speaking publicly as well as on the phone, and enjoys being client-facing
● Knowledge of production agriculture and/or commodities markets is beneficial but not required
● Proficiency with Adobe and MS Office applications
● Demonstrates attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
● Shows the ability to take initiative and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
●Enthusiasm, coachability, and curiosity to learn and develop over time
